Thank you for your interest in our Club. Willow Air Flying Club is a no frills club run by flyers to provide economical flight training to those who wish to experience the pleasure of flight as a hobby or for those that may be embarking on a new career in flying. We try to provide a comprehensive training program to satisfy most budgets and needs. Flight Training and Trial Lessons are carried out by CAA/JAA approved instructors and we have our own Examiners on site. We also provide FAA Training from PPL to ATP/IR and Instructor Courses. Willow Air has FTO approval status with the CAA (approval number FTO 974).

The Aircraft

We provide a range of aircraft type for training and also touring aircraft for those who already hold their own Private Pilots Licence. All aircraft are maintained to high standards, fully insured and are usually equipped to airways / instrument standards.

Probably the most popular training aircraft is the Cessna 152. We have both the standard model and the fully aerobatic model (for those of you who want to be more adventurous). These are high wing aircraft that are very stable and very forgiving with beginners.

For those who prefer a low wing type we have a Piper Warrior, once again a very good training aircraft and fun to fly but with the added benefit of more space.

Once you have passed your flying test we have a number of 4 & 6 seat touring aircraft for private hire so you can treat your friends and family to trips around the UK or abroad. We also have single and multi engine complex aircraft for hire.
